On April 2, 1977, twelve discerning members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated chartered the Clearwater Alumnae Chapter. Since that time the Clearwater Alumnae Chapter has empowered the African American community throughout Upper Pinellas and Western Pasco Counties. Through Delta Sigma Theta’s Five Programmatic Thrusts: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness, and Involvement, Physical and Mental and Political Awareness and Involvement, the Clearwater Alumnae Chapter remains committed to providing impactful initiatives.
